Lena Fischer
I'm Lena. I was born in Salzburg in 1989 and have lived in Innsbruck for many years. The mountains on my doorstep were my first school of seeing; the northern coasts came later.
My photography is slow. I often return to the same place until light, weather and mood come together. What interests me is less the spectacular subject than the stillness in front of it.
When I'm not photographing, I hike, read, or sit by the window with a coffee, watching the Nordkette.

Gear & workflow
Little luggage, plenty of time
My kit is deliberately small: one camera, two lenses and a solid tripod. Everything else stays at home. Most of the work isn't in the bag but in the time before the exposure — waiting for light, returning to the same place, listening to the weather. I work almost entirely with natural light.
